Legendary Calendar Bike Builder Richard Pollock / Mule Motorcycles built this "Super Hooligan" Sportster in the stye of a Harley-Davidson XR750 Flat Track racer for the owner who wanted a cool play bike for use in the new Hooligan Racing class of fun racing now becoming popular in America. It's a Run What You Brung class where Amateur and Pro riders alike can have fun banging handlebars on dirt short track racing ovals with suposedly inexpensive junk biks they;ve built up then selves. But like in any racing class without formal rules, budgets can get out of hand when someone wanst to have the trickest, coolest bike at the party.

Some of us might like a heat shield on that exposed upper upper rear cylinder exhaust pipe, especially when laying the bike down on its left side through a dirt track corner.

Richard built this "Super Holligan" racer with the stock Sportster's lower frame section deleted under the motor, using the engine as a stressed member with reinforced mounts where the rear and top ection on the frame bolted to the engine. Of course, the Harley-Davidson Sportster engine was never designed to be used as stressed member, but as long as the engine is kept stock, except for the beauitul hand crafted race pipe by Marc McDade, and the bike is used more for Show than the Series Competion, it should be a problem....

However, when Richard Pllock showed pictures of this just completed bike to Hooligan racing promoter Roland Sands / RSD Design, Roland told Richard the bike would not be eligible to race in his Super Hooligan produced events without a full frame. Plus the owner wanted some additional mod's made to the engine to increase the power, which would not work well if the Sportster engine really was used as a stressed member in a racing bike.

So Richard is preparing a new full frame for the bike to make it eligible for Hooligan Racing, and the current cut down frame will be used in another Sportster Supertracker street bike only project.

The super Hooligan is a replica of one of the most susccessful dirt track racers of all time,
the factory Harley XR 750.

Anodized Black spoked racing wheels and no front brake
