Ron Baldonado / Rock Bottom Customs, Thousand Oaks, CA returned to the 2014 LA Calendar Show's Calendar Bike Building Championship with other Best of Show contender that he named his "Saturday Night Special". This former 3-times Calendar Bike Show class winner had built 1930s style retro bar Hopper featuing a Harley style Flathead motor. His previous winning bikes included the 2011 Bobber Class winner, and a new retro custom fabrication of a 1920's styleboard tracker racer that took 1st Place in the 2014 Calendar Bike Show's Classic American Class.

"I build my bikes specifically to premier and win at the LA Calendar Motorcycle Show each year", Ron told us. "The frame is a 1932 Harley VL design, mated to a Springer style front end, with a 1937 ULH 80ci engine. I hand fabricated many of the components like the custom made fuel tank, oil tank, air cleaner. The headlight and tail light feature a carbite conversion so you can actually ride this bike on a Saturday night!"
