Two of our riding days in Sicily caught us in rain showers and we had to stop to put on our rain gear. It was awesome to pull into the beautiful Hotel Alperi Del Paradiso on the coast in Cefalu just as the rain stopped. I went straight to the bar and order an ice cold Apple Martini and was blown away when it came with a complete meal of mouth watering appetizers.
One of the small towns where we stopped for an afternoon coffee break was again, pretty deserted of people, and cats had pretty much taken over the town, basking on the warm sidewalks.
