Each morning of the tour, our Edelweiss tour guides Thomas Fellechner and Deiter Arnoth gave us a detailed briefing of the day's ride. They had cartoon
artwork drawings of each day’s ride showing the coffee and lunch stops, and the
distance to our evening's destination. A day’s ride averages around 300 km / 160 miles. And we were provided color markers to copy each day’s route on our own paper road maps which Edelweiss provides at the begin- ning of the tour, along with a Tour Guide Booklet outlining each day's ride and the sights along the way. Guests can divert from
the tour route if they choose and meet at the hotel in the evening.
Opposite page: the Edelweiss chase van carries our luggage, and a spare bike, and has our luggage is waiting for us in our hotel rooms when we arrive each evening.
Below: Our tour group was the perfect size with 12 people, both from America and Europe, and everyone spoke
English really well.
