Above: Iron & Lace Calendar Kitten cover model and Playboy Playmate Tamara Witmer shot with us twice this year for the Iron & Lace and Fast Dates calendars, returning later in the year to shoot the Rolan Sands / Performance machnien Kenny Roberts 5-cyliner 990cc MotoGP retro board trackeron location at the Queen Mary. This photo was also used in our advertising campaign for the 2007 Los Angeles Calendar Motorcycle Show where Tamara served as our hostess and on-stage Master of ceremonies for the weekend.

Shooting the 2008
Garage GirlsCalendar

As always, Garage Girls for 2008 featured our favorite models from the other 2008 Calendars, both with selected out takes from the other Calendars' shoots, and with an all new studio shoot just for Girls Girls.

This year's studio shoot consisted of just two girls together, beauttiful Playboy Cenerfold Tamara Witmer together with new Calendar Kitten A.J. Almasi.

The Models:
• This year we were excited to have two Playboy Playmates in Garage Girls. Together with cover girl Tamara Witmer, Miss August 2005, joining us was Athena Lundburg, Miss January 2006.


Athena Lundburg

Both Tamara, Athena, and Calendar Kitten Cora Skinner joined us both days at the 2006 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show, with both tamara and Cora back at the Show again in 2007.

Another knock out beauty joining us for the 2nd year in the new 2008 Calendars is the tall, long legged,raven haired beauty Cora Skinner who previously worked at a Hooters Restaurant to help pay her bills between modeling gigs. Cora went to Las Vegas in the fall of 2006 to compete in the Miss Hooters Swimsuit Pageant and out of some 80 girls placed among the top 10 finalists. Cora's modeling career has since taken off and she is now devoting herself to modeling full time.

Gemma Gleeson

Beautiful 19-year old supermodel Gemma Gleeson was featured extensively in all our 2007 FastDates.com Calendars. She has since put a hold on modeling to go to University in London, so we went back and picked up unpublished pictures of her from her 2007 Garage Girls shoot with us.

 

Alternative Cover
2008 Garage Girls

Since the cover is the most important selling aspect of any pinup model calendar, as you might expect, we often create a few different covers with different photos to choose from.

An alternative cover this year was the inside photo of Tamara and A.J. standing together with tools in their hands and a sportbike wheel at their feet from our new for 2008 Garage girls studio shoot. And while it was a great photo, it seemed a little too sweet, without the sexy impact of the picture we did choose for the cover of Tamara and Gemma standing back to back in much skimpier swinsuits.

I don't know if you noticed it, but the picture we did chose for our featured 2008 Garage Girls cover was actually featured as a smaller inset photo inside the previous year's 2007 Garage Girls calendar. But i liked this photo so much, I want to bring it back full page size in the 2008 Calendar.
