For Sunday's World Superbike races, Delilah Stombs (middlel) had the privilege of being the official L&M Ducati umbrella girl for America's Ben Bostrom who soundly went out and won both of the day's races in convincing fashion! Zdenka (right) was umbrella girl for former world champ Troy Corser on Team Aprilia. And Shannon Gonzales (left) was again looking after Kawasaki's Doug Chandler.

Photographer Jim Gianatsis booked actress Delilah Stombs and Penthous Pet of the Year Zdenka as our FastDates.com models at the 2001 Laguna Seca International Superbike round to photograph the 2002 Fast Dates Racebike Pin Up Calendar. As they were shooting with the top factory superbikes on Pit Lane after practice on Friday evening, they were approaced by a third girl, Shannon Gonzales, a part-time model who volentered to shoot with us throughout the race weekend no charge, for the privilege to be featured in her favorite calendar.... It was a offer we couldn't refuse!

It turned out that Shannon was a Langa Seca on her honeymoon with husband Chris and they were both huge sportbike fans. In fact, it was Shannon's idea to surprise Chris with a weekend trip from their home in Florida to Laguna Seca, CA, as her idea of a great honeymoon! Now why can't all of us guys be as lucky as Chris to have a beautiful wife who digs sportbikes and would rather go to a race weekend than a honeymoon in the Bahamas!

The girls also served as umbrella girls on the starting grid throughout the weekend. For the AMA Nationals on Saturday both Zdenka and Shannon were the offical umbrella girls for the FastDates.com sponsored EBSCO Corona Suzuki team and our 750cc SuperSport riders Jimmy Moore and Vincent Haskovec. Moore was running away with the series points lead. And Haskovec and his girlfreind are from the Czech Republic -Zdenka's home country, so the 3 of them spent the weekend hanging together and talking in Czech. While Shannon carried the umbrella for Team Kawasaki's former national champ Doug Chandler.
