The third and latest installment of the Reident Evil move series released in theatres on September 12th 2007, based on the wildly popular vidio game series and picks up where the last film in the series left off. (Mike Epps), along with new survivors Claire (Ali Lartner), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse betty (Ashanti) to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead....and to impose some serious kick ass justice. MILLA JOVOVICH
returns in the sequel to the exciting first movie, Resident Evil, as Alice, a former S.T.A.R.S warrior ( Special Tactics and Rescue Services) who awakens from a terrible sleep to find her worst fears realized -- the virus infected human population who had turned into bloodthirsty Undead, which she and her now-annihilated squad of elite military had fought to destroy in the first movie, have survived to be unleashed on Racoon City, the location of the secret biogenetics military facility of the big brother like Umbrella Corporation. Alicesoon discovers she is also a revived Umbrella experiment, having been bio-genetically enhanced with new strengths, senses and dexterity…and she will need them.

In the heart of the ravaged Raccoon City, a small group of uninfected people, including Jill Valentine (SIENNA GUILLORY) -- a recently demoted member of Umbrella Corp’s elite(S.T.A.R.S. team, and S.T.A.R.S. team leader Carlos Olivera (ODED FEHR), fight for their lives against swarms of Undead and the deadlier and faster Lickers. Running out of luck and resources, the group is rescued by Alice, and they begin to wage an exhilaratingly desperate battle to survive and escape before the Umbrella Corporation erases its experiment from the face of the earth.

Their only hope lies somewhere within Raccoon City... Dr. Charles Ashford (JARED HARRIS), one of the leading scientists for the Umbrella Corporation, will help Alice and the others escape the city safely -- if they find his daughter. Angie Ashford (SOPHIE VAVASSEUR) became separated from her father and now hides in fear. Alice, Jill and Carlos will have to fight their way through an army of Undead and Lickers to save her.

Alice jumps her Metric Cruiser through a church window on her way to turning one of the killer Licker monsters into Racoon Roadkill.

All the while, another secret biogenetics weapon code-named Nemesis which has been experimentally altered with greater modifications than Alice, has been programmed and activated to track and destroy them -- if the relentless, ravenous Undead don’t get to the group first.

Alice, Jill and Carlos need all of their strengths and skills to fight the battle of their lives against the mindless evil that has infected the city and the powerful forces that unleashed it on mankind.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse is as good, if not better than Apocalypse I. This time there's less talk because, if you saw the first movie, you kinda know what's going on. So there's more exciting non stop action, two beautiful, hot, sexy and sweaty chicks in crotch high mini skirts instead of just one, blasting the hell out of bad guys and monsters. It.s a combination of Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie's Lora Croft firing away with her automatic, Underworld's Kate Beckensale and Kill Bill's Uma Thurmon with her Samari Sword slicen' and dicin' all rolled into one great flick. These Kick Ass Chick movies are our favorite genre, and the best flicks Hollywood has turned out with consistancy since the classic Westerns of the 1950's and 60's.

We're sure to see Apocalypse one or two more times in the theatre before it's available here on DVD from Amazon.com. In the meantime we do recommend adding these other great Kick Ass Chick movies shown at right to your home moview library.

THE PRINCIPLES OF SIENNA
To be blessed with both talent and looks is one thing, but Sienna Guillory's refreshingly down-to-earth nature marks her out as a pleasing change from the uninterested film stars doing the rounds to promote their latest films. Maybe it's due to her relative cinematic inexperience - up until now she has been a more familiar small screen face - but her effusive nature and infectious personality makes her an interviewer's dream.

Although she has had supporting roles in the likes of The Time Machine and Love, Actually, 2004 looks like being a breakthrough year for the 27-year-old former model, best known to date for playing the title role in the tv miniseries Helen of Troy. She is far removed from the model-turned-actress stereotype however, as she brings a real conviction to her latest work, the challenging and often difficult Principles of Lust.

The film is a gritty Northern-set affair, highly charged with sex and violence. Although made in 2001, Guillory remembers the excitement she felt when she got the part.

"It was actually sent to a friend of mine" she confesses. "I read it and couldn't put it down, and begged to read for the part."

Part of the reason was director Penny Woolcock, whose unconventional and loose sense of shooting also appealed to Guillory. Woolcock works without rehearsing the actors, attempting to find magic in raw takes and allowing the kind of improvisational performances usually associated with Ken Loach or Alan Clarke.

"Because of the way Penny works it was incredibly liberating. We didn't have to worry so much about making mistake on script or if the lighting wasn't quite right."

The films sees Guillory strip herself emotionally and sexually, as she begins a passionate relationship with a young writer (Alec Newman). She confesses that she had few qualms about the nudity, trusting Woolcock completely. "We shot all of the sex scenes in the first week. There was one occasion early on when Penny left the two of us in bed naked together and when she walked back into the room we said 'you must never never do that again!'
